about the chef
Christopher’s Catering is owned by Chris White who has lived in the Spokane area for most of his life. He is a graduate of the Inland Northwest Culinary Academy and has considerable experience in catering and banquets. In addition to his own catering events he has worked with The Golf Club at Black Rock, Settler’s Creek Event Center, and has worked at some great restaurants in the region. He is very passionate about food and customer service, he is the Secretary of the American Culinary Federation – Chefs de Cuisine of the Inland Northwest chapter and mentors a ProStart high school culinary team. He doesn’t have a specific cuisine that he focuses on, he has a very eclectic array of food offerings and is always learning and moving in different directions. He really enjoys getting to know the client and their event needs to come up with a menu that is the perfect fit.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful job you did in catering our annual Liberty Lake Police Department family Christmas party on Sunday evening. I thought it was amazing that with 40 attendees at the function you were able to set up, prepare all the food, and clean up all by yourself.
The food was excellent and was enjoyed by everyone there, adults and kids alike. I heard more compliments about the great menu that you prepared and as you heard in person the food was absolutely amazing. The burnt cream as an unexpected dessert was an especially nice touch.

I work in the pharmaceutical industry and have had Chris cater numerous lunches I have held and each and every time the Dr.’s offices have said across the board that it was the best lunches they have ever had catered. The reason for this is that he takes great pride in his preparation and makes everything from scratch where a lot of caterers in the past that I have used bought products and made it look like it was made from scratch. He was the chef for my wedding in October 2006 and he did the most amazing job to where all of the guests at the wedding were asking for his contact information so they could hire him for any future events to where they needed or wanted a chef.
Chris was very easy to work with, he created an amazing and creative array of food that met everyone’s individual tastes and he was incredibly resourceful when it came to what would be a great choice of food to have and what would be complimentary with what other kinds of food-something I had no clue about.
